#1 Four:

Tobias Eaton, more prominently known as Four, is one of the main characters in Divergent . He is the son of Evelyn and Marcus Eaton. He is the instructor of the transfer initiates. And additionally, the love interest of Tris Prior .

#2 Augustus Waters:

Augustus "Gus" Waters was born on March 14, 1994 and is a main character and the male love interest in The Fault in Our Stars. He is the best friend of Isaac and later Hazel's boyfriend and only love. As with his best friend and girlfriend, he suffers from cancer, particularly Osteosarcoma. Augustus is described as being short, very very attractive, intelligent and having mahogany colored hair. He fears oblivion, as he wants to make a mark on the world. He hates the idea of not being able to leave a mark at all, due to his diagnosis of cancer and its later-on terminal attribute.  Augustus Waters was a big believer in metaphor and constantly symbolized the situations at hand. He was an Eleven, and is selected to become the Receiver of Memory during the Ceremony of Twelve. Jonas, was born from a Birthmother. Jonas is adopted by a mother and a father. Later in his life his parents adopt a sister named Lily. He follows the same, dull life of everyone in the community until the age of 12, when he was selected to be the Receiver of Memor. Jonas appears as a typical Eleven awaiting the Ceremony of Twelve, and when he is selected to be the next Receiver, his training is followed as he is given memories, both painful and happy, and his eventual escape from the Community with Gabriel.

The 16-year-old male tribute from District 12. He is described as being "medium height with a stocky build" and has "ashy blond hair that falls in waves over his forehead" with blue eyes. He is the town baker's son and is talented in baking breads, cakes and icing cakes, which proves to be an unexpected boon to him in the arena. Upon arriving in the Capitol, it is discovered that Peeta has an instinctive ability to perform on camera and manipulate public sentiment. He has harbored a secret liking for Katniss since they were five that continues through the Games. He is rarely moody or upset and generally takes things lightly. He is also very loving and self sacrificing.

Νέα έρευνα: Οι κολλητοί φίλοι μοιάζουν μέχρι και… στο DNA!

Οι γενετιστές από το Πανεπιστήμιο της Καλιφόρνια (UCSD), αναφέρουν ότι οι «κολλητοί» φίλοι έχουν κοινό το ένα εκατοστό των γονιδίων τους, κάτι που συμβαίνει με τα τέταρτα ξαδέλφια τους.

Το εύρημα αυτό υποδηλώνει ότι το γενετικό μας προφίλ παίζει ρόλο (και) στην επιλογή των φίλων μας, όπως δήλωσε ο επικεφαλής ερευνητής δρ Τζέιμς Φόουλερ, καθηγητής Ιατρικής Γενετικής & Πολιτικής Επιστήμης στο πανεπιστήμιο.

«Εξετάζοντας ολόκληρο το γονιδίωμα των εθελοντών μας διαπιστώσαμε ότι από γονιδιακής πλευράς μοιάζουμε πάρα πολύ με τους φίλους μας», είπε και πρόσθεσε: «Στην πραγματικότητα, έχουμε πολύ περισσότερο κοινό DNA με όσους επιλέγουμε ως φίλους μας, παρά με ξένους της ίδιας ηλικίας, φύλου και φυλής».

«Μπορεί το ποσοστό 1% των γονιδίων να φαίνεται μικρό, αλλά για την γενετική είναι τεράστιος αριθμός», συνηγόρησε ο δρ Νικόλας Χρηστάκης, καθηγητής Κοινωνιολογίας, Εξελικτικής Βιολογίας & Ιατρικής στο Πανεπιστήμιο Γέιλ.

«Και το πιο σημαντικό: μολονότι οι περισσότεροι άνθρωποι δεν ξέρουν καν ποια είναι τα τέταρτα ξαδέλφια τους, κατορθώνουν με έναν μαγικό τρόπο να επιλέγουν ως φίλους τους ανθρώπους που τους μοιάζουν γενετικά, σαν να είναι συγγενείς τους».

Η νέα μελέτη διεξήχθη σε περισσότερους από 1.900 εθελοντές, άλλοι εκ των οποίων συμμετείχαν μαζί με τους φίλους τους και άλλοι μόνοι, άγνωστοι μεταξύ αγνώστων.

Όπως γράφουν οι ερευνητές στο τεύχος της 14ης Ιουλίου 2014 της αμερικανικής επιθεωρήσεως «Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences» (PNAS), με βάση τα ευρήματά τους δημιούργησαν μία «βαθμολογία φιλίας» που μπορεί να χρησιμοποιηθεί για να προβλέπουν εάν δύο ξένοι θα γίνουν φίλοι ή όχι.

Η βαθμολογία αυτή είναι εξίσου ακριβής για την «πρόβλεψη» της φιλίας με άλλες βασισμένες στα γονίδια μεθόδους οι οποίες υπολογίζουν τις πιθανότητες παχυσαρκίας ή σχιζοφρένειας.
